The babies

These are three of the best people I know. Yes, I called them people because they are so much better than real people. I love hanging out with my dogs.
The two boy dogs, Louie and Kirby are almost always with me. They follow me from room to room and they stay by my side during the day.
Diva, on the other hand is my daughter's dog. If my daughter is home then that's where Diva will be. But during the day when my daughter is at school she is either snuggling with Louie or wrapped up in a ball in my lap. Two more weeks of undies for that poor girl. Oh you see that little spot on the chair next to Diva, she allows me to place one butt cheek there. Isn't she sweet?

Its hard being a girl.

It'll hurt her feelings.

She's in heat. Last time I bought her diapers this time we're going with boys underwear. It looks funny as hell but its working so far. The hole in front for boys works perfect in back for tails. My son doesn't wear these kind anymore. He's all grown up, you know. Tonight she's sporting the ever so popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle undies. I feel sorry for her. She looks uncomfortable and seems very needy.

Dryer Diva

Yes, that is my daughter's dog in the dryer. We just wanted to see if she'd stay in there when we put her there and she did. She's looking at me as if to say "What the heck lady?" We put Kirby in next but he jumped right out and of course Louie wouldn't fit.
We got Diva a little witches costume and I'll have to get my daughter to help me dress her up and get some pictures later. It is uber cute!

Doggie Movie

The dogs love Reddi-wip. When they hear the lid come off of the container they start getting in line. The dogs love the stuff and they start licking before it even comes out. Louie is the best at catching it. Diva tries to eat it before you are ready and Kirby licks the air so much before hand that when the stuff actually comes out, he sometimes misses it all together. The kids and I love watching them try to be first.

Smooches

This is Miss Diva. She was the pug dog I always dreamed of. Unfortunately she makes me itch and she loves my daughter way more than she loves me. Diva was rescued from a mean little boy by my husband and as you can see she loves him too. My husband was at work and he saw a little boy kicking this beautiful little puppy. He asked the boy if it was his dog and the boy said no, it had been following him and he was trying to get rid of it.

My husband called me and the kids and I drove out. We made signs and put them up at his store and around town. She stayed with us for the next two weeks without anyone calling to claim her. She instantly fell in love with my daughter and followed her everywhere.

After two weeks we got her licenced to us and bought her a collar to match the other dogs. We also bought her a groovy little shirt, but she never wears it. Now that my daughter has gone back to school she is so lonely. She has resorted to hanging out with me, her least favorite person. I pretend to not like her but deep down I wish she liked me more. She's a sweet puppy.

Our family currently has three dogs.

King Kirby

Kirby followed us home from a bike ride and then dug his way into our backyard. We put up signs and after a week when no one claimed him he cut his hair and got him fixed and he became ours. Kirby is my son's baby, they play together, they hang out together and Kirby loves him to death. He is some type of terrier and he choose us. He is a runner though and given the slightest chance to run out of the house or yard he takes it. He always comes back home though.

After our Gooch (My first baby, 17 years old) died we started searching the Humane Society (animal shelter- save a life, mutts are better than purebreds any day of the week). We'd go once a week sometimes more, my husband wanted a boy dog and I wanted a younger dog. One day my son yells out "This one's got a weenie!" I called my husband and asked if it was ok if we got a dog that was a little bigger than our other dogs. We bought him on the spot. Louie is my baby even if he's a huge dog. He is the first big dog I've ever had and I love him tons. He is the sweetest dog on earth and he can catch things in the air. He's uber cool!

Diva is was the dog of my dreams. I had always wanted a pug dog. One day while at work my husband saw this boy kicking this little pug dog. He yelled at the boy to knock it off and asked if the dog was his. The boy said no, the dog was following him and it made him mad so he kicked it. We put up signs and again after a week she became ours. She is my daughter's baby.

Gooch 1990-2005

Gooch was also a shelter dog. He was my very bestest friend for many years. I brought him home from the pound after making many many trips to find the right doggie. I stuffed him in my shirt and brought him home. My husband instatlly fell in love with him. I raised him from a puppy and he was a very good dog. Everyone loved Gooch. In October of 2005 we had to help our old friend move on towards heaven. I still miss him and our family still talks about him often.
