Did a little bit of online Christmas shopping the other day. I used my favorite coupon site and was able to score some very good discounts along the way. Bought my usual Christmas present for my husband, his favorite cologne from FragranceX.com, they had already sent me a coupon in an email but the discount was even greater when using CouponChief. They always have the best online coupons.
After I was able to get the husband done then I went in pursuit of the best discount on the presents I wanted to get my kids. I was looking for an mp3 player for my daughter, originally I wanted to get her an ipod but that was just out of my price range. My son knew he wanted a PSP. Both kids know if they got a high ticket item then their Christmas presents would be limited to one each. After doing some serious research on the PSP, I actually want one now too. I told my daughter all about them and she decided the PSP could do far more for her than some lame ipod or mp3 player. You can go online with a PSP did you know that? Music, pictures, movies, internet, online games, normal games, so much more... I'm serious I want one too.
So the three most important people are basically done, other than a few little items.
Show us something good about Mondays.
I can't show you anything because I didn't take any pictures this morning since it was kind of "manic" around here. But the one thing I can look forward to on Mondays is working with my husband. I've been doing it since about August, almost every Monday and I really enjoy doing it. So Mondays are good because I get to spend the day with my husband.
My son started taking showers before school this year. Sometimes it doesn't work so well because my husband also showers in the morning. Usually my husband is gone before we even wake up, but lately he's been going in a little later, just because he's burnt out. So this morning was one of those times when they both wanted in the shower at the same time. Normally not a problem, husband just lets him in. This morning though, my husband's back was hurting so he wanted all the hot water to himself (My son doesn't share to well in the shower.)
I finally got my son in and we were talking about how there wasn't a lot of hot water left. I told him that daddy didn't have a lot of hot water either. His response reminded me how a child's mind works. He said "Yeah and he stayed in the shower for two whole episodes of Sponge Bob."
Time is just a matter of episodes.
So I'm thinking after last nights burning my leg off my husband should take me to carlisle bed and breakfast. Don't you think that would be a good idea? Well, if I was going to be near England I would totally make him take me there. The bed and breakfasts in Carlisle are near the Scottish border and is a very popular with tourist. There are many hotels in the area but for a more reasonable price you should stay at one of the 28 bed and breakfasts located in Carlisle and the local areas nearby.
Carlisle has a great deal of tourist attractions such as the Tullie House Museum and an indoor market dating back to 1851. You could spend many hours strolling through the amazing countryside. There is also a famous Carlisle Cathedral built in 1122 which is a must see. Since its so close to Scotland you could visit it as well.
Public Announcement for the night - Compressed air is not a toy and it is not funny to shoot anyone with it.
My husband has suffered with back problems for years. After
working in a mental hospital for years and having to life patients as well as
having to take down violent patients his back is just not the same as it used
to be. When I was sent this sample of Freeze It I thought of him
first off.
We’ve used just about every type of rub on pain relief product out there.
Honestly he loved freeze it. It did not in any way have a mentholated smell; actually
it didn’t have any smell to it unlike every other type of product we’ve used. Who
wants everyone in the near vicinity to know you’re having back pain or to think
you smell like some kind of oldie? It goes on smooth and rubs in entirely and without
ripping every hair out on its way in. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave any marks
on his clothes. I used a rubber glove when I rubbed it on his back and I could feel
the cooling effect through my gloves. The cooling sensation lasted a long time too.
I think for future use we’ll buy the roll-on just because it would be easy enough for him to use by himself if I wasn’t available to put it on for him. At $9.99 it’s definitely worth the price to relieve the pain for long periods of time. I got two samples and he asked me to use them every day for the past week, so that must mean it’s good. Freeze it, earned us as customers firstly because of the nice sample but most importantly because their product really works the best.
Today was my husband's birthday. He turned 40 today. I know I am not far behind him but honestly that seems older than hell to me. I do not want to turn 40 for quite some time. Sadly its just three years away. His parents took him out to lunch, once I reminded them when his birthday was. They took us to Olive G@arden, which is not my most favorite restaurant or his, but they enjoy it. The majority of the day has been just us staying home, letting him watch his tv shows and play his game. Trying to make it a stress free day. I think he's enjoyed it, not quite like he would have enjoyed 24 hours alone with me.... heh
What is your current obsession(s)?
Submitted by eijsr.
My husband is and always will be my obsession.
I also am obsessed with any and all chocolate, but currently Cadbury cream filled mini eggs. Oh man these things are so good and you can have three mini eggs for only 150 calories. Sounds like lunch to me.
I am also obsessed with the color purple. In fact I just finished painting my bedroom purple for the second time only this time its a much more royal purple. I just love it and I'll show you some pictures when I get everything back the way it should be. Which might be sometime in December.
I am also obsessed with moving my house around. Just when you think I'm done changing things I go and do it all over again. It drives my family mad, but makes me feel good. So I'll just keep doing it. :o)
