My son is a proficient googler. He knows if he wants to show me something it is in his best interest to google it. Since he searches everything he wants to buy online and believe me the boy has lots of wishes he finds the coolest websites.
Tonight he found element skateboards and his wishes just got bigger. You can find all the things you'll need to become rad skateboarder. My son's favorite part about this site was the fact that he could design his own skateboard. We spent at least 40 minutes just deciding which deck (the board) he'd get. They've got so many designs to choose from it was hard to pick just one. Then you've got to decide on a truck (the metal part that holds the board to the wheels) the wheels, bearings and believe me there are a ton of bearings, hardware and grip tape. I had no idea, but they've got it all, all the big name brands and all the gear you'll need including pads and helmets.
They also carry the long board which is really the type of board my son would like to get. They are much cooler looking boards and feel more like a surfboard. The designs on the long boards are almost too pretty to use. Don't tell him I said they were pretty though, cause they aren't pretty they are rad and bad and I suddenly feel old.
My son is a huge fan of skateboarding. Unfortunately his Dad is really against it, because he doesn’t want him getting hurt. Last year for Easter I bought him a small skateboard to get started with. But tonight I found some really great skateboards and accessories. I might just have to leave a few pictures lying around for Dad to find.
I know my son would be super happy with me if I could get him a full sized skateboard. Of course I’d get him a super cool skateboard, a few ramps and/or jumps, helmet, knee and elbow pads. We’d also have to get some groovy wheels.
When I pick up my daughter from school I see about 10 boys all riding off on their skateboards and one kid even has a remote controlled skateboard. There are several boys in the neighborhood that are always outside doing their jumps. Its just a matter of time before my son and I break down his daddies defenses and he agrees to a skateboard.
